Learner Description: This activity is designed for high school students in an introduction to Information Technology class.

Instructions

Consider for a moment that you want to take the class on a learning adventure through Idaho. You want to show them some cool engineering feats that we have right here in Idaho. Use the mobile device that you have with you today to research the three attractions on this page, and set up a virtual field trip to each spot.

There are several parts to this activity.

First you need to set up a route to get to your location. Use a mapping website to plan you trip from school.

Once the trip is planned, you need to find three interesting facts about each attraction.

Finally you need to find a picture of the attraction to text to the instructor to prove that you were virtually there.

Here are the attractions I want you to look up:

Perrine Bridge

Lucky Peak Dam

Dent Bridge

GOOGLE:

You might want to check GOOGLE to see if there are any visitors stations or tours to go on. Any information found should be added to your field trip.
